Since then he has used the Boise Foundry's MINI SADDLE HARDWARE for his mini saddles he makes for discriminating customers the world over. Note his excellent use of engraved White Bronze Ds and Engraved Aluminum stirrups to give his mini saddles that extra touch of class. Although covered up, the mini saddle trees are made with The Boise Foundry's mini saddle horns in a variety of shapes.

Saddle #1 is approx half scale with an 8" seat, 14" long skirt, cutting horse horn and features Boise Foundry's Engraved Aluminum Oxbow stirrups.

Custom Saddle Built for President George W. Bush in 2004

Jim Rice Custom Saddles
18766 Forester Road
Hudson, Michigan 49247

Jim contacted The Boise Foundry and worked with Doug & David Parsons in his custom order for the specialty hardware to be used on a saddle commissioned by a National Organization to present to President Bush. The pictures below show Jim with his granddaughter making and tooling the hand-crafted saddle. Note the Presidential Seal in the tooling on the saddle fenders.

The Boise Foundry supplied the Engraved Front and Rear rigging Dee's as well as the SPECIAL Domed and Polished 3" Dally Horn.  The horn was originally designed to be tooled with the Presidential seal, however, the cost of engraving was too prohibitive.
